why not ask people like dean or charles? they should know a thing or two about cameras. Or you can go to places like funan or sim lim square to get recommendations….

Hey Amy,its Ruth: ) I hope your all well.Lomo cameras are really fun i have a Holga 120 CFN and a Diana which is also a pinhole camera if you take off the lense, if you havnt already check out this website its got everything you need to know about them and other lomo cameras http://www.lomography.com.
the two cameras i mentioned are both medium format cameras but can be easily modified to fit 35mm film.

And regarding the digital cameras a Nikon D50 is better it is the older model but its is better, the D40 was brought out as a replacement BUT it doesn’t take all the old lenses, where as the D50 is compatible for both old and new, its the camera ive got at the moment and i have had no problems with it. Oh and definitely go for the SLR over the coolpix if your serious about photography, the coolpix is appealing as its small but its not as easy and it doesnt have a viewfinder only a screen.

can’t wait till you all come over : ) X
